The Lord Be With You Today!
But what can I say? He has spoken to me, and He Himself has done this.
(Words are ineffective to describe Hezekiah’s wonder and gratitude
that the Lord answered his prayer, spoke His promise of healing to him,
and then completed his healing from a near-death illness.
Hezekiah acknowledges that only the Lord
could have healed him from the disease that brought him to brink of death.
Today, the Lord offers us salvation from the death of our sin.
He alone can provide our redemption from oppression
and our escape from death of hopelessness.
Today, as we think on the works of the Lord in our lives,
words may fail us to verbalize the absolute magnificence
of God’s intervention and work in our lives.
We can, however, acknowledge that He alone is able to save us
from the death of the array of situations that beset us.
Today, the Lord gives us the power to live out His purposes,
and only His power over us and in our lives
is effective to heal and restore and empower.
Today, it is He alone Who has done and continues to accomplish
the work in our lives that brings us into His freedom and peace.)
May the Lord richly bless you this day!
In Christ’s love,
