Isaiah 29:23-24 When they see among them their children, the work of My Hands, they will keep My Name holy; (The Lord is talking about the descendants of Jacob, among whom we are. When we see those around us following God, including both our literal children, as well as those we impact by our example, we realize they, as well as we, are the work of God, property that belongs to God, the business of God, the result of His handiwork, the product of His work, a poem of His creation and authorship, and that the change and regeneration in us is only of God’s doing and the work of His Hands.) they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel. (Looking at ourselves and the mighty work that God has done and continues to do in us and knowing that only God could do such a work only heightens the reasons we have to give glory and praise due Him, causing us to bow before Holy God in awe, reverence, and honor.) Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.” (All of us have been wayward in spirit and have complained. Yet, when we look to Creator God, acknowledging Him, standing in awe of Him, we have the promise that our rebellious and erring spirit gives way to enlightenment and spiritual insight and our murmuring and grumbling, so displeasing to God because they are, in reality, a very denial of Who God is, yield to a teachable spirit that He lovingly instills in us, inviting us to gain understanding and embrace Him and His truths.)
