The Lord Be With You Today!
"I cried like a swift or thrush, I moaned like a mourning dove.
My eyes grew weak as I looked to the heavens.
I am being threatened; Lord, come to my aid!”
(In his near-death illness, bedfast and steadily growing weaker,
during the night of his suffering, knowing his death was near,
Hezekiah cried out to the Lord
with no more strength of voice than the low moan of a small bird.
In his weakness and helplessness, he beseeched the Lord
about the gravity and danger of his situation.
When we have no strength but the merest whisper,
when hopelessness reigns, when the end seems inevitable,
when the threat is real and imminent,
like Hezekiah, that is the time we need to appeal to the Lord.
And the Lord always hears our cry no matter how weak it is.
Because Hezekiah sought the Lord and pled for his life,
the Lord’s healing purposes for Hezekiah raised him from his sick bed
and gave him a new lease on life with new achievements to realize.
Today, the Lord’s purposes in our lives always prevail,
and He gives us victory over what seems impossible and inevitable to us.
He raises us up and gives us new life in Him!)
May the Lord richly bless you this day!
