The Lord Be With You Today!

Isaiah 38:17a
Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish.
(Although Hezekiah has been through a harrowing, near-death illness,
realizing at the time that his life was over unless the Lord intervened,
he acknowledges that the Lord has benefitted him
even through that former anguish and suffering.
Any suffering of ours is never without purpose.
The Lord has promised to make all things work together for our good
because we are called according to His purpose.
Our sorrows and hardships today are not the conclusion of our story.
They only point to the Lord’s intense and personal interest and purpose
in using everything in our lives to work together for our good.

He has not promised that we will be free from troubles,
but He has promised that He will be with us
even through the valley of the shadow of death.

And He has declared He will never, ever leave us alone,
that He will never, ever leave us without His support and presence.)

May the Lord richly bless you this day!

In Christ’s love,
