"With whom will you compare Me or count Me equal?
To whom will you liken Me that we may be compared?"
(The Lord asks us to examine our thinking and our focus.
He challenges us to be purposeful
in taking stock of who and what we believe
and where we direct our attention and confidence.
The question itself holds the implicit answer.
God has no peer. God has no equal.
He and evil, He and Satan, do not wrangle and wrestle over preeminence.
God alone is supreme and sovereign. He alone reigns in absolute supremacy.
His question to us today is not just symbolic or academic or rhetorical.
He means to remind us as we face today that He alone is our God,
that no one can compare to His reign in our lives,
and that He can be trusted to the extreme.)
May the Lord richly bless you this day!
In Christ's love,
