the Lord reassures His people of His determination
to rescue them from their Babylonian captivity.
He reminds them of His past dealings with them and on their behalf,
that He had actually dried up the Red Sea and the Jordan River
so they could cross over out of slavery into freedom
and out of the wilderness into the Promised Land.
Not only does the Lord provide a way out of their bondage into freedom,
their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.
the Lord reminds them when He turned the rivers of Egypt into blood,
in His determination to show both the Egyptians and the Israelites His power,
that the oppressors' very sustenance was destroyed.
when we faced impassable waters of difficulty,
when He opened a path for us through the difficulties,
when He removed the fodder that the enemy thrives on,
we can be assured that He will provide
the same release and deliverance and victory for us today
and we can trust in the Lord's faithfulness.)
May the Lord richly bless you this day!
In Christ's love,
