The Lord Be With You Today!

Isaiah 50:2c

"By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert,

(In the face of His people's continued refusal to accept the Lord's message of deliverance,
the Lord reassures His people of His determination
to rescue them from their Babylonian captivity.
He reminds them of His past dealings with them and on their behalf,
that He had actually dried up the Red Sea and the Jordan River

so they could cross over out of slavery into freedom
and out of the wilderness into the Promised Land.

Not only does the Lord provide a way out of their bondage into freedom,

but He also makes their path a dry ground,
making their trek into their path into their new life easily traversable.
The Lord continues to work the same kind of miracles in our lives today.
He dries up the seas of adversity that are impassable without His intervention.
He causes our path through the waters to be easily passable on dry ground.)
their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.
(Again recalling for His people His former miracles on their behalf in Egypt,
the Lord reminds them when He turned the rivers of Egypt into blood,
in His determination to show both the Egyptians and the Israelites His power,
that the oppressors' very sustenance was destroyed.
The Lord's same determination to reveal Himself to us as our Savior
still today causes Him to make the situations and people in our lives
who oppress and attack us to find themselves without provision to continue their attacks.
Just as the Lord has provided for us in past impossible situations,
when we faced impassable waters of difficulty,
when He opened a path for us through the difficulties,
when He removed the fodder that the enemy thrives on,
we can be assured that He will provide
the same release and deliverance and victory for us today
and we can trust in the Lord's faithfulness.)

May the Lord richly bless you this day!

In Christ's love,

Blessings,

Sally
