It is the Sovereign Lord Who helps Me. Who will condemn Me?
(Isaiah continues to prophetically put the attitude of Jesus into words
as Jesus endures great future pain during His arrest and crucifixion.
The.most important truth that Jesus keeps at the forefront of His focus
is that His Father God is with Him and is His present help
in this time of great trial and trouble.
When He stands on this truth, He knows that no foe, no enemy,
has any real power to accuse or condemn Him,
that if God is for him, who can be against him.
Today, even when we are in the midst of difficult situations, of great need,
we stand on the truth that Jehovah God is for us, He is with us,
and, therefore, anything or anyone else who might be against us is powerless.)
They will all wear out like a garment; the moths will eat them up.
In this reference, we are reminded that even a powerful enemy
that attacks in the dark and without warning will be overthrown and destroyed
much like the very garment made useless by moth-eaten holes.
Jesus knows He will overcome the enemies before Him
and that their reputation will be destroyed because of their opposition to Him.
we can stand assured that the enemy himself and his vehicles of attack,
whether disease, financial need, relationship brokenness,
or other seeming impossible challenges that penetrate our lives,
will be defeated because of Jesus' power over us and that their influence will be cut off
like the worn-out clothing that we discard after long wear.)
May the Lord richly bless you this day!
In Christ's love,
