The Lord Be With You Today!

Isaiah 54:9
“To Me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.
(Like an earthly royal king might bestow as a reward on a faithful vassal,
the Lord decreed a gift, a royal grant as a reward, to Noah,
a vow to this faithful and obedient servant
and to all who faithfully carry out the Lord's instructions.
At that time, He declared, "I now establish My covenant with you
and with your descendants after you
and with . . . every living creature on earth."
It is one of the major covenants of the Old Testament,
that the Lord would never again destroy life on earth
with this kind of natural disaster,
that nothing could ever make Him change His mind about His vow,

that it would last in perpetuity.
Inherent in the covenant is also
that the idea
that the heirs of Noah, who we are,
would walk in the same faithful obedience to the Lord as our forefather.
Since the Lord Himself refers to His covenant of old,
what the Lord is about to say must, then, be serious, indeed.)
S
o now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again."
(
Just as was His covenant with Noah,
His rebuke, when needed, will never again destroy mankind.
The Lord declares that in the same way that He dealt with Noah,
with mercy and provision and great love in establishing that covenant with him,
now the Lord says He will extend with the same generosity
His mercy and provision and great love to His people.
Today, we can walk in the assurance
that the waters of judgment, the waters of attack and hardship,

will never again be allowed to destroy us.
Based on His avowed declaration and n
ever to be withdrawn or retracted,
H
is covenant of love and reconciliation toward us is everlasting.)

May the Lord richly bless you this day!

In Christ's love,

Blessings!
