"Blessed is the one who does this—
the person who holds it fast,
to do "this" — to hear Him and His promises, to obey Him,
to be encouraged, and to look for the revelation of His salvation
which, He says, is close at hand.
The command for us today is to do the same,
even in the midst of great trial, to put our faith in Him
and to remember His promises.)
who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it,
and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”
since they had no access to the normal ways they would have worshiped the Lord,
since they could not go to the Temple or make sacrifices there,
the Lord tells His people to do what they can do,
to obey His command about the Sabbath and to refrain from evil.
but to walk out all that we can do as He leads us into all the purposes
that He has for us even and, especially, in the midst of trials.)May the Lord richly bless you this day!
